About Me

Maurice (Moe) Clayton is a Behaviour Support Practitioner and founder of Pattern & Path Positive Behaviour Support, providing NDIS behaviour support across Victoria.

Specialist Behaviour Support

We provide Specialist Behaviour Support under the NDIS to help people with disability and their support networks understand and respond to behaviours of concern in ways that are positive, practical, and person-centred.
This includes:

  • Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)

  • Interim Behaviour Support Plans

  • Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans

  • Staff and family training and implementation support

  • Restrictive practice review and reduction strategies

Our approach focuses on building capacity within the person’s environment — ensuring families, staff, and services feel confident and supported to implement strategies that improve quality of life and reduce risk.

Implementation & Staff Training

We believe a great plan only works when everyone understands it. We provide hands-on training, coaching, and implementation support for staff, families, and allied health professionals to make strategies practical and sustainable.
Training can include:

  • Understanding the “why” behind behaviours

  • De-escalation and proactive support

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • Data collection and reflective practice

  • Embedding behaviour strategies into daily routines

Collaboration and Capacity Building

We work closely with:

  • Support Coordinators and Case Managers

  • Allied Health professionals (Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, etc.)

  • Residential and Respite services

  • Families and informal supports

  • Schools and day programs

Our goal is to build capacity across the whole team, ensuring consistency and continuity of support, even in complex systems.

About Pattern & Path

  • Understanding patterns. Creating paths.

Pattern & Path Positive Behaviour Support is built on the belief that every behaviour has meaning — and every person deserves the opportunity to live a life that reflects their values, interests, and aspirations.

We work alongside people, families, and support teams to understand the patterns that shape behaviour and create paths toward meaningful change.

    Our ethos is grounded in:

    • Partnership – genuine collaboration with the person and their network.

    • Purpose – finding the why behind behaviour to inform lasting change.

    • Positivity – focusing on strengths, not deficits.

    • Practicality – strategies that work in real life, not just on paper.

    • Progress – promoting learning, independence, and connection for the person as well as there network.

At Pattern & Path, behaviour support isn’t just about reducing behaviours of concern — it’s about increasing quality of life and building confident, capable teams around the person.

  • Child Safety

Pattern & Path Positive Behaviour Support is committed to the safety, protection, and wellbeing of all children and young people we support. We do not tolerate any form of child abuse and take all concerns or allegations seriously.
We have both a legal and moral responsibility to protect children and promote their right to feel safe and valued.
Our policies and procedures are designed to minimise risk and ensure that every child is protected from abuse and exploitation to the best of our ability.
