What is Positive Behaviour Support?

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred, evidence-based approach that aims to understand the reasons behind behaviours of concern and build strategies that improve quality of life. It focuses on teaching new skills and reducing the need for restrictive practices.

Are you a registered NDIS behaviour support provider?

Yes, Pattern and Path is registered with the NDIS Commission to deliver Specialist Behaviour Support services. This includes developing Behaviour Support Plans and supporting the safe reduction of regulated restrictive practices in line with NDIS requirements.

Who do you work with?

We support children, teenagers, and adults with disability, including people with autism, intellectual disability, complex trauma, or dual diagnosis. We work closely with families, support coordinators, and support staff.

How do I get started?

You can fill out our contact form or contact us directly via phone or email. Once we receive your referral, we’ll be in touch to confirm your goals and book an initial meeting. We aim to return contact within 1-2 business days.

Do you support people with complex behaviours?

Yes. We specialise in working with people who have significant behavioural support needs.

Can you train my staff?

Absolutely. We provide hands-on training and coaching tailored to your team. This includes implementation of the behaviour support plan, understanding behaviours of concern, and reflective practice.

Is this service funded by the NDIS?

Yes. Behaviour support services are funded under Capacity Building – Improved Relationships in your NDIS plan. This includes both Specialist Behaviour Support and Behaviour Management services.
